The Apol Spirit Sub Ability is a Tailed Spirit Sub Ability that can be obtained with a 1/50 chance after defeating the Apol Spirit Boss after accepting its respective Boss Mission, which is located in the Jejunes Village.
Description
By holding Z, the user can activate Apol Spirit, initially starting at Stage 1. The user can switch between stages by holding Z and pressing the stage's corresponding number, as long as they meet the sub-ability level requirements of the stage. This mode drains 40 MD per second.
For Stage 1 of Apol Spirit, the user dons a white, sleeveless cloak, embroidered with black diamond and circle shapes along the edges. The user gains a black aura around them, while having their face covered with a skeletal mask cut in half, their eyes are changed into a purple shade, as well as having a hollowed-out, black diamond on their chest.
For Stage 2 of Apol Spirit, the user retains the same look from Stage 1, albeit with some changes. The user's skeletal mask extends downwards, the black diamond on their chest has a line extending downwards, as well as having their left arm changed to black with spikes protruding out of it.
For Stage 3 of Apol Spirit, the user loses the white cloak and has their skin changed to white. Both of the user's legs and arms are covered in black with spikes protruding out, while also having a black, kilt-like structure worn around the user's waist. The user's diamond on their chest is now significantly hollowed-out as well as having their black aura considerably denser than previous stages.
For Stage 4 of Apol Spirit, the user retains the same look from Stage 3, albeit with a slight change. The user's mask is now fully constructed and covers their entire face as well as having a white-and-blue-striped tail on their back.
Ability
For Stage 1, melee attacks are now done with slashes of wind, extending their range and damage.
For Stages 2-3, melee attacks are now done with the hands of Apol Spirit, extending their range and damage.
For Stage 4, melee attacks are now done with the Apol Spirit, extending their range and damage.
For Stage 1, pressing Z while this mode is active causes the user to form a black bomb on their mouth, releasing it quickly afterwards, dealing damage. This ability uses 30,000 Chi and has a cooldown of 25 seconds.
For Stage 2, pressing Z while this mode is active causes the user to form an orb on their left arm, firing a beam from it afterwards towards the direction they are facing, dealing damage multiple times. This ability uses 27,000 Chi and has a cooldown of 28 seconds.
For Stage 3, pressing Z while this mode is active causes the user to create an orb on their chest, firing a beam from it towards the direction they are facing, dealing damage multiple times. Unlike the previous Z attack, the user does not form any sort of stance while using it. This ability uses 28,000 Chi and has a cooldown of 30 seconds.
For Stage 4, pressing Z while this mode is active causes the user to summon Apol Spirit which forms an orb in its mouth, firing multiple beams from it in quick succesion shortly afterwards towards the direction they are facing. This ability uses 35,000 Chi and has a cooldown of 33 seconds.
For Stage 1, pressing Q while this mode is active causes the user to summon two sand tornadoes towards the direction they are facing, dealing damage. This ability uses 20,000 Chi and has a cooldown of 20 seconds.
For Stage 2, pressing Q while this mode is active causes the user to launch Apol Spirit's arm towards their cursor, encasing the target hit in a sand coffin, dealing damage as well as stunning them. This ability uses 20,000 Chi and has a cooldown of 20 seconds.
For Stage 3, pressing Q while this mode is active causes the user to throw a ball of sand surrounded by purple electricity towards their cursor. Upon coming into contact with a surface, the ball explodes into a blast of sand, dealing damage. This ability uses 26,000 Chi and has a cooldown of 17 seconds.
For Stage 4, pressing Q while this mode is active causes the user to create a staff similar to the one seen at Apol Spirit's boss mission while also summoning the Apol Spirit, attacking nearby targets. Upon coming into contact with an enemy while this staff is present, the user repeatedly slashes the target before launching them away. This ability uses 25,000 Chi and has a cooldown of 40 seconds.
For Stage 2, pressing E while this mode is active causes the user to fire multiple black bombs, dealing damage multiple times. This ability uses 25,000 Chi and has a cooldown of 20 seconds.
For Stage 3, pressing E while this mode is active causes the user to launch multiple Apol Spirit hands, with the last hand encasing the target in a sand coffin, dealing damage as well as stunning them. This ability uses 26,000 Chi and has a cooldown of 25 seconds.
For Stage 4, pressing E while this mode is active causes the user to form a black bomb on their mouth. Upon being attacked while the bomb is present, the user summons the Apol Spirit, which fires two bombs to deal damage. This ability uses 30,000 Chi and has a cooldown of 25 seconds.

Location
The Apol Spirit spawns near the right-most gate facing towards the outskirts from the inside of the Jejunes Village, towards the mountain. It is located on a rock with an ornate spear behind it.

- This Tailed Spirit is the 3rd Generation version of Su Tailed Spirit.
- Apol Spirit is the first Generation 3 Tailed Spirit released.
- This mode takes a lot of inspiration from the anime Bleach.
- Stage 1 and 2 have a cloak which is based on the signature cloaks worn by the Gotei 13, while the rest of the outfit takes inspiration from the Arrancar's uniform.
- As the mode develops, the fragment of the mask, which is what all Arrancar have, develop into a skull, similar to the mask of the Visoreds.
- Stage 2 and 4's Z attack resembles the Cero techniques used by Hollows and Arrancar, while the variant of it used in Stage 3 is more akin to the ones used by Coyote Starrk.
- The initial ball of lightning during Stage 3's Q ability may be inspired by the Bala technique.
- Stage 3 and 4 resemble Ulquiorra Cifer's Resurrección, Murciélago: Segunda Etapa.
- Stage 4 uses a spear, which is Ulquiorra's signature weapon.
